About Loewen Apiary

Nestled in the sprawling prairies in West Central Saskatchewan, Loewen Apiary is a small family operation producing raw, unpasteurized honey. After extraction, the honey is dropped through a strainer to remove large wax and pollen particles, and then bottled in clear glass jars, showing off the beauty of natural honey. The flavor of honey is dependent on the type of nectar the bees harvest. Since our acreage is surrounded by farmland, the majority of the nectar comes from the canola crops, mixed in with clover, caragana, and a variety of wildflowers. Raw, unpasteurized honey in both liquid and creamed forms. Bulk plastic pails of 7kg, 5kg, 3kg (always liquid when harvested but crystallize over time). Liquid honey in glass bottles of 1kg, 500g, and hexagonal jars of 190 ml, 45 ml. Creamed honey in glass bottles of 1kg, 500g, and hexagonal jars of 190 ml, 45 ml (available typically starting in November or December). Larger bulk buckets of honey may be ordered depending on availability.
