Maple Grove Acres might be a new name, but the farm itself is not. Operated by owners Brendon and Natasha, this location has been the home site of the family farm since the late 1800’s when our ancestors first settled here. The old barn and brick house, both built in the 1890’s, are both still standing. The farm is a lot smaller than its mid 2000’s peak of 400 head of cattle, but we have been rebuilding our infrastructure and are now finally taking steps towards regrowth. We have had a herd of Berkshire hogs for the last handful of years and just recently got back in to cattle. We are currently offering our Berkshire pork by the half or whole at $4/lb including cut and wrap. Smoking, curing, sausage making is extra. Each animal carries an $85 slaughter fee. If there is enough interest, we could look at doing smaller bundles as well, but we do not have enough freezer space to make these up ahead of time. All our pork is processed at a local federally inspected shop and cuts are completely customizable by the customer. We will begin taking beef orders (quarter/side/whole) next summer for spring of 2028.
